32nd Notes: Saturday, September 30, 2023 – piano skills to play the pipe organ

Greetings to all RCCO members!

We have an exciting opportunity for you to help us spread the joy of organ music. We are organizing a workshop for pianists who want to learn how to transfer their piano skills to play the pipe organ. This is a great chance for them to discover the beauty and versatility of this majestic instrument.

The workshop is free of charge and open to anyone who can play the piano. It will take place on Saturday, September 30 at Tecumseh United Church, 333 Lacasse Blvd. The workshop will cover the basics of organ technique and registration.

We need your help to recruit participants for this workshop. Please reach out to any pianists you know whether they are from your church or your community. Invite them to join us for this fun and educational event. We want to make this workshop a success and inspire more people to appreciate and play the organ.

For more information and to add names to our attendance list, please contact Paul Wharram at 519-980-2034. You are also welcome to come out and support our facilitators.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm!

32nd Note – Your Invitation to join the ‘Bach Walk’

Hello everyone. On Tuesday, May 9th, the Windsor Essex RCCO is sponsoring a ‘Bach Walk’ in downtown Windsor. We are collaborating with ElderCollege and registrations are going well.

Here’s your opportunity to join the walk and we are seeking at least 6 volunteers to assist – to welcome participants, to hand out programs, to answer any questions about the RCCO and to accompany the participants as they walk from All Saints Anglican Church to St. Alphonsus Church and then to the School of Creative Arts (less than ½ km). The time slot is 10:00 am to 12 noon. Please contact Paul Wharram if you can volunteer. paul.wharram@gmail.com
