The Windsor Essex Centre of the RCCO provides scholarships to beginning organists as well as to those who already have some experience playing the pipe organ.
The purpose of the Beginning Organist Scholarship is to provide an introduction to organ skills for pianists who have not had organ lessons previously.
The organ is very different from the piano. In addition to having a 2 1/2 octave pedalboard with sharps and naturals like the manuals, performance on the manuals themselves requires a different approach. It is a readily learnable skill but does require regular practice on an organ.
Click on the links below and print out the application forms. Instructions are provided on how to complete them and where to mail them. The RCCO Windsor Essex Centre requires forms to be fully completed, including the Permission to Practice form.
